The 3H Foundation helps support people with disabilities have a holiday and their carers have some respite. We have four main support programmes:
A means tested Grant programme this is to support people with disabilities and carers, on a low income, have a UK holidays.
The Group Holiday programme arranges holidays for adults and young people with disabilities have a activity holiday with like minded people. These holiday are fully accessible and carers are provided.
Our Carers’ programme provides carers a period of rest away from their caring roles through days out. In the UK around 7 million people are unpaid carers for family members or friends who need help due to disabilities. We work to support carers and never underestimate how difficult life can be as a carer.
TeensPLUS programme was created to enhance the lives of young people with disabilities and young carers through days out, this now includes challenges packs and activity hampers.
We are a small, national charity, with just five part time staff. Our aim is to support those with disabilities have a holiday and their carers have some respite. Although small, we like to think we pack a mighty punch when it comes to helping our beneficiaries. In an average year, 3H supports over 600 people with disabilities and their carers to have a much-needed UK holiday, via supported activity holidays and a means tested holiday grant scheme. Our carer support programme is now a valuable lifeline and we never underestimate how difficult life can be as a carer. We support unpaid carers have a spa day for some respite, have an afternoon tea and we send out pamper hampers for carers to enjoy and feel valued. The TeensPlus programme is for teenagers with disabilities and young carers to help enhance there lives with days out challenge packs and activity hampers.
