Objectives

The purpose of Scouting is to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. This purpose is achieved by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout promise and Law and guided by adult leadership.

Activities

The 1st Cheam Scout Group consists of 3 age related sections, a Beaver Colony, a Cub Pack and a Scout Troop consisting of 87 young people. Weekly meetings are held at our HQ in Cheam, Surrey engaging our young people in a weekly programme of training, games, badges and teamwork along with additional outdoor activities such as camping, barge trips and adventure centres.
