What will you be doing?

 

As a Youth Worker, your main responsibilities will include mentoring and supporting young people in our services, organising activities for them, and running projects that focus on issues such as bullying, crime, confidence, and addictions. closely with the project manager and workshop coordinator, You will also be required to correspond with young people, carers, and parents, and facilitate workshops in schools and community settings. Additionally, you will need to keep and update confidential records within government guidelines and manage relationships with external organizations, including children, young people, parents, and carers.

What are we looking for?

  • Knowledge and empathy on the current issues facing young people
  • At least three years experience in engaging, mentoring and working with young people in a professional setting
  • excellent verbal communication skills
  • sensitivity and understanding
  • experience in delivering high-quality Participation projects and campaigns

  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • To be thorough and pay attention to detail
