For the Young People

Your time and commitment as a volunteer will have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people in L8, Liverpool. By providing a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment, the Youth Hub helps children aged 11–17 to:

  • Build confidence and self-esteem through creative expression and positive relationships
  • Develop life skills such as communication, teamwork, and emotional resilience
  • Stay engaged and motivated during a critical stage of personal and social development
  • Access mentorship and guidance, often from role models they can relate to
  • Stay away from negative influences by having a safe space to belong and grow

For the Community

The ripple effect of this project reaches far beyond the young people we support:

  • It strengthens community bonds by involving local residents and volunteers in youth development
  • It reduces anti-social behaviour by providing structured, meaningful activities after school and on weekends
  • It creates pathways to opportunity for young people who may otherwise feel left behind
  • It helps build a culture of support and inclusion, laying the foundation for a stronger, more united L8
