Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic collaborator to be responsible for scouting and applying for Wellbeing grants opportunities and ensuring the funding we award generates the greatest possible impact for our beneficiaries.

What will you be doing?

Would you like to support our creative spiritual work helping us to offer our local community classes, workshops and exhibitions that they can attend for free?

How?

  • Conducting researches  and identify new funding opportunities in the creative industry.
  • Writing compelling funding propositions to Trusts, Foundations, Statutory funders and other grant making organisations in a timely manner and to agreed financial targets.
  • Adhering to the requested reporting criteria and working to implement evidence gathering processes to complete funding reports.
  • This role is flexible, independent and remote

What are we looking for?

  • Grant-making experience and a strong understanding of grant-funding and associated due diligence processes.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and able to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • A high degree of creativity and a collaborative style to be able to pro-actively manage a diverse workload on your own initiative.

What difference will you make?

The intention of our centre is to create an Alchemy to awaken people to a new, deeper, more connected, higher, more universal awareness and personal growth. The ‘Art of turning lead into gold according to the ancient philosophical tradition is what inspires us deeply, because we believe the time has come to take the simple artistic or wellbeing workshop to the next level of depth.

We believe that Edinburgh's rich and varied cultural identity can and should be reflected through the support of the wellbeing journey of people, increasing understanding and enhancing lives. We want people from all walks of life to contribute to our work and share their experience, expertise and passion.
