What will you be doing?

Your Role:  

Action Change is seeking an experienced and professional volunteer to head up our website. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience working as a senior webmaster and/or WordPress Developer. This role will be part of the leadership team working within the marketing team to ensure our website is a leading resources for donations. You will be responsible for the whole technical aspects of our website from hosting, loading times and UX. You will be responsible for increasing donations, site traffic and experience on our site and in turn improving our SEO and google ranking. You will provide strategic reviews of the site and report back to the CEO and Board of Trustees with recommendations for our site. As we turn 20 years in 2025 you will also be a member of the working steering group for this campaign. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee our website maintenance including hosting 
  • Report on all donations and engagement of the website to the wider team
  • Create new landing pages and content as required 
  • Support new initiatives to increase donations on the website 
  • Ensure the best donor experience is offered on the site
  • Oversee and update the Home Page 
  • Implement a backlinks strategy and roll out 

Your KPI’s

  • Backlink traffic target to be decided
  • Donation XX through the website 
  • Traffic to the website
  • Ensure website has no downtime

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone that has the ability and drive to self direct work and show initiative in getting things done to help our charity to survive and grow. You must have over 3 years experience working on the technical aspects of the site. This role is part of our management and marketing team.

The majority of people working with Action Change are professional volunteers and part time interns. We believe it is important to work together as a team to help each other grow at the same time as supporting our projects around the world. We seek individuals that are willing to get involved with tasks and at the same time share their knowledge and experience to help develop Action Change. 

Each role at Action Change has KPI's and many hold a financial goal to allow ownership of tasks and you will be given fall control of the strategy to reach your targets, as a team we are also here to support each other to ensure everyone get's to personally develop at the same time.
