We're a small environmental charity with some big ambitions....we want to have a website we can actually feel proud off and have functionality that will help us in our work. Can you help us out?
We currently have a wix website which we find very hard to update and maintain. The platform is not user friendly and we know that it could look much better too.
We would like to change to a wordpress website. Or if there are other options we are happy to hear about them.
We'd love to meet someone local who would like to help us make this change and who might want to help with updates every now and then too - but this is not a deal breaker, if you just want to help us make the move that's fine with us.
We don't mind if you are someone who has IT skills who want to brush up on your skills so recent experience with wordpress is not totally necessary. But would would like to make the change quickly before we get charged by for another year by wix.
If you would like a tour of our current website and to talk to us about what our needs are for a new website (it would include an events calendar and being about to take donations and membership subscriptions) then we would love to hear from you.
IT Skills - in particular being able to understand website development or design
Have had some experience of setting up a website - including changing hosting service
Ability to communicate clearly with non technical people
Good at listening
Able to be clear about the time commitment the can contribute over a month
You would be helping us improve the way we communicate. It would be such a breath of fresh air and make our own volunteer roles so much easier. We would be able to effectively promote all the fantastic work going on in our town and we'd probably be able to recruit some other new volunteers too. We want to make a difference to our local environment and to our planet.
