Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

Support with changes to our website that is easy to amend/change currently using Wordpress, open to using Wix or other sites on suggestion on.

Kainé has served the City of Leicester for 20 years providing services under Arts, Community & Education Headings.

Support sessions for Refugee and Asylum Seeker Young people

Education

Primary and Secondary school personal development programme, focussing on working towards a dream. In particular, focus is on BAME students struggling with main stream education.

Social Action society aimed at year 12’s onward. Aimed at fostering positive progression and retention of black students.

Peripatetic teaching sessions in school for years 7 – 10.

Supporting the development of HE students in the local community.

Kainé Management is at a pivotal point in its development. A comprehensive 5-year vision is being planned, as well as a renewed focus and purpose in light of the impact of the pandemic on our end users. In order to deliver an ambitious program in collaboration with local government, business, partners, and communities, Kainé Management is seeking an individual to update add maintain our website.

Update website content on WordPress/Wix templates in line with commercial decision (including text and image updates)

Use Image editing, HTML and CSS, and WordPress/Wix to modify themes, pages, and page elements

Coordinate, monitor and maintain all website content to ensure it is accurate, up to date, written in plain English and meets usability and accessibility standards.

Design, build, amend, monitor and archive webpages and e-forms to meet the needs of the Council and ensure search engine optimisation.

Work with services on a daily basis to ensure that the structure of the Kainé's websites and e-forms meet the needs of customers, both internally and externally, and adhere to local government web standards.

Provide support to all services on content related enquiries for all websites, e- forms

What are we looking for?

Knowledge of best practice on the web including developing and iterating user journeys, usability and accessibility. 

Preferably a good working knowledge of HTML, CSS or JavaScript and other modern web technologies and standards (general coding)

Ability to work with no code/low code software (power automate, jotform etc)

Experience of using content management systems

Good level of information technology education.
