Help us engage our audiences by refining our current website so that it is mobile responsive and has improved SEO

What will you be doing?

Our charity is working to help bring about a step change in the battle against litter. We are developing an interest-based network which combines content curation with discussion forums to enable members to keep up with current trends and contribute their ideas about litter and plastic pollution.

We are in the process of developing a website but we would like an experienced web practitioner to review its performance, in relation to mobile responsiveness and SEO in particular.

You will be working with one of our trustees who will provide any background material you will need.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a volunteer who:

  • Has a basic understanding of climate issues
  • Has experience of preparing materials for web
  • Has experience of website builders, preferably Wix
  • Has experience of working within a brand identity and developing design based on existing materials.
  • Has the ability to quickly understand the needs of our team / organisation / users
  • Can ask key questions to enable us to clarify requirements
  • Understands the resource constraints of a small charity and can work within these.

What difference will you make?

With your help will give our project a more professional look and performance, and at the same time broaden our grasp and understanding of current technology.

What's in it for the volunteer?

You would become part of our small, friendly team, using your time to make a real difference in difficult times and to contribute your ideas to help solve one of today’s pressing environmental challenges.
