Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

You’ll help grow our digital presence, reach more people, raise awareness, and drive support. Your skills will turn clicks into real-world impact by connecting us with those who need us and those who want to help.

What will you be doing?

Overview

We're looking for a skilled web developer to help us maintain a modern, user-friendly website. Whether you're a seasoned coder or someone confident with platforms like WordPress, your help could make a real difference.

We have also been awarded a Google Ad Grant – now we need someone who knows how to make it work. If you’ve got experience running PPC campaigns and understand what makes ads convert, we’d love your support.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the development or revamp of our website
  • Ensuring it’s mobile-friendly, accessible, and easy to navigate
  • Helping us integrate forms, videos, or donation platforms
  • Fixing bugs, making updates, and adding content when needed
  • Setting up and managing Google Ads campaigns using our Google Ad Grant
  • Helping us choose the right keywords, copy, and landing pages
  • Monitoring performance and tweaking campaigns for better results
  • Advising us on how to drive more traffic to our site and raise awareness

What are we looking for?

Who we’re looking for

  • Experience with web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or CMS platforms like WordPress/Wix/Squarespace)
  • A good eye for design and user experience
  • Ability to explain technical things simply (we’re not all techies!)
  • Someone who’s happy working independently, with support from our small team
  • Experience in managing Google Ads or other PPC platforms
  • Understanding of campaign optimisation, click-through rates, and basic analytics
  • Someone who can work solo but collaborate when needed
  • A creative thinker who can help shape our digital voice

What difference will you make?

Your work will directly help us grow, raise vital funds, and reach the people who need us most.

For the website role, you'll be creating a digital front door that’s welcoming, clear, and accessible. Whether it’s families looking for support, donors wanting to give, or funders checking us out, your work will shape their first impression and journey.

For the PPC role, you’ll help us make the most of Google’s Ad Grant – turning free ad credits into real-world support, donations, and awareness. It’s not just traffic, it’s transformation: more families reached, more volunteers signed up, more funding unlocked.

You'll be part of something meaningful, where your skills have a visible, lasting impact – not just on a website or a campaign, but on real lives.
