We are looking for a talented and committed individual to become Treasurer of the Board of Trustees of Dorset Hedgehog Rescue. This role is vital in supporting the charity’s affairs so that it is governed and managed effectively.
What will you be doing?
We consider the role of Treasurer to be critical in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our charity. As Treasurer, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial governance and health of the charity in collaboration with the Board of Trustees.
This is a voluntary role.

What are we looking for?
The trustees have a statutory duty to act in the charity’s best interests and to exercise reasonable care and skill when doing so, taking specialist advice when required.
Each trustee should use any specific skills, knowledge or experience they have to help the board of trustees reach sound decisions.
The role of Treasurer is extremely important to shape the charity, to oversee our financial health and to sustain the growth of the charity. The right person will help create the future of Dorset Hedgehog Rescue and contribute to our long-term financial planning, to ensure that the needs of the hedgehogs that come into our care are met.
