Centre management work mornings from Monday to Friday so some volunteering time is needed in those hours.

Long Ashton Community Centre is seeking a volunteer treasurer to join the friendly team running our Community Centre for around two hours a week. 

What will you be doing?

The Treasurer’s responsibilities include:

  • liaising with our Chair, Centre Manager and Deputy Centre Manager;
  • overseeing receipts, payments and payroll;
  • production of standard financial reports including balance sheet, performance against budget, SOFA (profit and loss) as well as other regulatory requirements;
  • audit support.

You will not be required to become a Trustee but would on occasions need to attend trustee meetings. If you have retired from a career in finance or accounting or able to offer your time in addition to holding this type of day job, this could be an opportunity for you to be involved in your community. Ideally you will have experience of Xero, QuickBooks, SAGE, or a similar cloud based accounting systems. Being a charity we operate fund accounting.
