Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

As the Volunteers Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating all aspects of the volunteer journey.

What will you be doing?

As a very small charity with limited resources we have an idea of the characteristics ideally we would look for from a person in this role, but we are realistic to realise this isn't a paid job, so any individual interested may not have all the experience listed below, but we hope this won't deter you from considering applying.

The role includes recruitment, training, and engagement of volunteers, ensuring they are motivated and supported to contribute to our mission. You will also line-manage the volunteers working closely with our leadership to promote a positive and inclusive environment.

Ideally this role would suit someone who has the time and interest to want to be involved in making a contribution, and they have the right attitude of mind to make it work for both themselves and the charity.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Volunteer Recruitment:

·       Lead the recruitment of volunteers through platforms such as Reach Volunteering and other online portals.

·       Create and manage volunteer role descriptions to attract individuals with varied skills and experiences.

·       Engagement & Retention:

·       Maintain regular communication with volunteers to ensure they feel supported and connected to our mission.

·       Organize volunteer appreciation events and initiatives to foster a sense of community and recognition.

·       Training & Development:

·       Design and implement onboarding and training processes for new volunteers to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge.

·       Identify ongoing development opportunities for volunteers to enhance their contribution and experience within our charity.

·       Line Management:

·       Oversee the volunteers and conduct regular check-ins and reviews with team members to monitor progress and provide feedback.

·       Administration & Reporting:

·       Maintain accurate volunteer records and provide regular updates to our trustees on volunteer engagement and outcomes.

What are we looking for?

Skills & Experience:

·       Strong organisational and leadership skills, although experience in volunteer management is not essential as the right minded person will make this role work for themselves.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

·       Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

·       Passion for social inclusion, and volunteering for a worthy cause.

.       Positive can do attitude is a very important characteristic we look for.

Benefits of Volunteering with Clothing Collective:

·       Play a key role in making a difference within the charity with your enthusiastic input.

·       Develop leadership, management, and project coordination skills.

·       Join a passionate and supportive team working towards a common cause.

What difference will you make?

Play a key role in making a difference to those affected by poverty.
