South Central Youth is an innovative youth service situated in South London, providing holistic support for young people who are at risk of getting involved with gang culture and crime. Looking for a volunteer to assist with fundraising activities.

What will you be doing?

Objective

The Fundraising Officer will support the CEO in generating income for the charity. The main responsibilities for this role will be to research fundraising opportunities and draft fundraising bids.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Researching fundraising opportunities, including from trusts and foundations, corporates, and major donors.
  • Drafting fundraising bids and applications.
  • Supporting the CEO in management of the funder database and fundraising pipeline.

Person Specification

  • Strong communication skills – both written and oral
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Positive, proactive approach to work and a good team player
  • Good understanding of the charity funding landscape
  • Previous experience of drafting fundraising bids.

This role will help ensure the long term sustainability and success of South Central Youth. As a key volunteer you will help South Central Youth secure the funding needed to deliver life changing services for the young people of south London.
