The role of a Credit Union Director is to help shape the strategic direction of the Credit Union and ensuring the credit union maintains a sound financial state and operates within the law, rules and the Credit Union’s policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working within the financial services sector, Information Technology, legal, HR or in a management role that has provided you with a clear understanding of business processes.
We are regulated by the FCA and PRA, this is a regulated role and requires compliance with conduct rules.
Our common bond rules require that applicants must live or work within a ‘B’ postcode, including Birmingham and Solihull Borough and must join as a Member.
Knowledge and experience of credit unions is not necessary, but an awareness of regulatory compliance is beneficial.
As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, we serve more than 5,000 Members, enabling them to save and borrow securely and responsibly. We encourage people to save regularly to improve their financial resilience. All of our borrowers will also save at least £3/week as they repay their loan; part of our aim to nudge good money habits. We lend more than £2,5m annually.
