Will you share your professional therapy skills to develop a mental health support service for patients with a debilitating pain condition, their relatives & partners?

What will you be doing?

We are seeking 2 qualified counsellors, psychologists or psychotherapists for our service. As a Volunteer Counsellor /Therapist you’ll be providing therapy support services to people who are vulnerable, many of whom are isolated and in need of mental health services. You’ll be providing one-to-one counselling/therapy sessions online via Zoom or the telephone. With your recognised counselling/therapy qualifications and experience you will be an asset to our small charity and to our services users.

Depending on your qualifications, skills and experience, volunteer counsellors provide person centred or integrative counselling support or specialist therapy services such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and EMDR for CRPS patients, their families, loved ones, carers and friends, for both adults and children.

People are referred both by health or legal professionals as well as referring themselves to the service.

In this role you’ll be able to develop your counselling and therapy skills, organisation, communication and team working skills.

Most importantly you’ll be providing essential services that help make sure no one has to face CRPS alone, whether they are a patient, relative, partner or carer. Be the hope for CRPS.
