We are now looking for a new trustee with responsibility for fundraising to join our established board.  We would especially like to hear from people with experience in fundraising/income-generation.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a new trustee with responsibility for fundraising to join our board.  We would especially like to hear from people with a background, or interest, in fundraising to support the Trust’s aspirations to open a museum at the Bury in Hemel Hempstead with sustainable income growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee our Fundraising Plan across individuals, community, corporates, trusts & foundations and other grant giving bodies.
  • Identify opportunities to raise awareness of the Trust in the Dacorum area.
  • Develop with the Finance Manager web-based fundraising, including online donations and merchandise sales.
  • Co-ordinate community fundraising activities.
  • Work with our events volunteers to maximise opportunities for fundraising.
  • Keep up-to-date with local government legislation, charity law, fundraising guidelines and the Trust’s policies and procedures to ensure all fundraising activities comply. 

The Trust holds bi-monthly Board Meetings, and as a trustee you would act with other trustees to achieve vision and direction for the Trust.
