Videographer required to make a short video for the energy charity.
Nottingham Energy Partnership is a charity dedicated to educating and inspiring action to tackle climate change through retrofitting homes to reduce household energy usage and address the global aim to achieve Zero Carbon. Through its innovative, practical ‘learning by doing’ programmes, NEP helps households improve the energy performance of their homes and understanding of the energy sector.
One of the projects and we are currently working on is called Home Energy Advice Team (HEAT) Hub, it is a demonstrator project we are delivering while working alongside Midlands Net Zero Hub which focuses on retrofitting properties which are particularly hard to heat (i.e. properties with low EPCs or not connected to gas). Through this project, industry experts offer in-person advice specific to homeowner’s properties. We also provide support by offering free home energy plans and supporting homeowners applying for the government’s Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant.
We are seeking a dynamic Videographer to storyboard and create a short video to promote Home Energy Plans with a possible view to making more videos thereafter that would form a series. Ideally the video would highlight benefit of the home energy plan, interviewing as client and demonstrating to the client the process involved.
Ideally the volunteer will have a minimum 3 years experience of making short, engaging films. They will be creative in their approach and familiar with conducting interviews. They will have their own equipment and be familiar with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
The Home Energy Plan is a free energy assessment specific to the property and it's energy use. Its purpose is to identify ways the property can save energy and offers a detailed phrased approach of the steps that would be required to optimise the energy efficiency - from LED light bulbs, to wall insulation and Air Source Heat Pumps.
The video will make a big difference as it will give a detailed understanding of the Home Energy Plans than we are currently able to portray on the website. A video will bring the Home Energy Plans to life while hearing first-hand how people have benefited from the service.
