We're seeking a strategic Vice-Chairperson to join Southampton Sea Cadets' Management Team!

What will you be doing?

As a Vice-Chairperson, you'll play a key leadership role in supporting the Chairperson and ensuring the effective governance of Southampton Sea Cadets.

You'll help to steer our organisation's direction, foster a collaborative environment and ensure our programs continue to inspire and equip young people with essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Chairperson in leading the Unit Management Team and ensuring effective governance
  • Step in to lead meetings or represent the Chairperson in their absence
  • Collaborate with trustees to shape and implement strategic plans
  • Provide guidance and support to fellow trustees and senior volunteers
  • Help ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Promote the mission, vision and values of Sea Cadets
  • Act as an ambassador for the charity, building relationships with key stakeholders
