 Are you passionate about creating positive change and breaking down barriers to social mobility within the legal sector?  Do you have leadership experience and a drive to make a difference in people's lives? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

 

State2Bar is searching for a dynamic and dedicated individual to join us as Vice Chair. As Vice Chair, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our charity's strategic direction, enhancing our impact, and championing the cause of social mobility at the bar. Your portfolio will include governance, finance and fundraising. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction alongside the Chair and Board of Trustees.
  • Oversee all charity governance. 
  • To manage and oversee charity finance. 
  • Create and implement a fundraising strategy. 
  • Collaborate with fellow board members to develop and implement innovative initiatives that advance our mission.
  • Uphold governance standards and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

What are we looking for?

  • Commitment and interest in social mobility. 
  • Awareness of the sector 
  • Experience in managing accounts, budgets, fund-raising and sponsorship. 
  • Understanding of charity governance.
