Do you have a record of successful trusts/foundations fundraising?

Are you a strong and persuasive copy writer looking to develop your skills in a new sector?

Can you build relationships through great communications?

What will you be doing?

Bradbourne Riding for the Disabled Group, Sevenoaks, provides disabled children and adults with the opportunity for enjoyment, therapy and achievement through horse riding, carriage driving and time with ponies.  The Group is run entirely by volunteers who help disabled children and adults to reach therapeutic goals, combat social isolation, develop life skills, and experience the outdoors.

Our therapy and services depend on our financial resilience.

Your role as the Trusts and Grants Fundraising Volunteer will be to work closely with our Trustee leading on fundraising to help us implement our strategy, achieve our target levels of funding, and ensure we have monies for our core running costs plus projects for 2024/25 and beyond.

What are we looking for?

You may be someone who already has a proven track record of successful trusts and foundations fundraising and knowledge of fundraising regulations, or you may be a strong and persuasive copy writer looking to develop your skills in a new sector.

You will need to have effective communication and collaboration skills, and to be able to build beneficial relationships with foundations.

You will be proactive in conducting research into trusts and foundations, before identifying appropriate sources of funding and writing appropriately tailored funding applications.

You will get the opportunity to acquire experience working within a charity, develop skills in fundraising and networking, and spend time with like-minded volunteers.

What difference will you make?

This is a rewarding opportunity to get involved in the ongoing development of Bradbourne RDA, and to play an important role in helping generate income and build a pipeline of new funding opportunities to continue to make a difference to the lives of local disabled people.  No knowledge of the RDA required.

Before you apply

Please apply through Reach first.

Informal correspondence through Reach and by email will follow.  An application form with cover letter and subsequent discussion with the Trustee leading on Fundraising will be required for those shortlisted.
