The Gefrin Trust are seeking a range of skills to compliment those we already have. In particular we are looking for trustees to help us develop our digital media output and our visitor and volunteer engagement.

What will you be doing?

The Gefrin Trust is currently looking to recruit a new trustee.

Candidates with a background in/experience of the following are particularly welcome:

  • Digital media and website development
  • Communication, visitor and volunteer engagement

In addition to the above, we are particularly interested in candidates who would bring any of the following to the Board of Trustees:

  • Experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector
  • Fundraising and community engagement

Our Board works collaboratively and openly to ensure we are building on the best advice and good practice available. We wish to become a more equal, diverse and inclusive organisation and welcome applications from people who have been historically excluded or under recognised on Boards.

What are we looking for?

  • Objectivity, fairness, independence of mind, integrity, discretion and good judgement.

What difference will you make?

As a small independent trust your input will have immediate effect. These are vital roles that will help us reach new audiences and help us enthuse others to help us protect and explore the archaeological site we manage. Our location is remote, but close to a number of well visited site in Northumberland. We have many partners and they are keen to explore how we can work more closely to the benefit of all.
