Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

Dementia charity need Trustees to support the organisation. Recently successfully awarded a grant from the National Lottery we have big ambitions so we need your help to achieve them!

What will you be doing?

Trustees play a hugely important role at Dementia Friendly Keighley. A small but impactful charity, at the heart of our community whose employees offer a much used and well-respected service to people living with dementia and their family, friends and carers in the Keighley area.

We need trustees with various skill sets and with some experience in an organisation, small or large. This could be voluntary. Those skill sets might include people with finance or treasurer experience, HR, Grant funding, project management or Charity Administration and Governance.

We are especially (but not only) interested in people with a background in Finance who may want to take on their first treasurer role, with training and support.

However, most important is an interest in what we do, and enthusiasm to help us do it. The trustees meet six weekly for two-hour board meetings and there are some time commitments outside of that.  As well as being ideal for people who want to volunteer in this amazing charity, the role can also support you in developing skills and knowledge in your career. We truly do want trustees of all backgrounds, ages and characteristics.

What are we looking for?

Trustees with various skill sets required and a passion to support people affected by dementia.
