Stay is a charity in Telford which has been helping to improve the lives of homeless people for over 30 years. We are looking for volunteer Trustees with experience in many roles.

What will you be doing?

We would like to enhance our Board's skill mix by recruiting to new Board Trustees with the following experience: Human Resources, Health and Safety, Law, Housing.

The new trustees would be part of a board who meet quarterly and are ultimately responsible for the governance of Stay.

What are we looking for?

All trustees must have a genuine interest in improving the lives of people who are homeless and must be able to commit to attending the trustee board meetings.

Ideally we are looking for trustees to compliment our current trustee skill mix, and experience in HR, health and safety, law or housing.

Our trustees need to be strategic thinkers with decision making skills and have the ability to work effectively with a set of peers from many different backgrounds. Trustees need to have effective communication skills and a willingness to participate actively in discussion.

We are looking for trustees willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role and who will broaden the diversity of thinking of our Board.

What difference will you make?

Our trustees play a vital role in making sure that Stay achieves its core purpose of preventing and responding to homelessness and championing the need of homeless individuals at every opportunity.

As part of our Board you will support and shape our work and strategic direction.

Over the past 30 years, Stay has had a profound impact on many peoples lives when they have been rough sleeping, facing homelessness, housing difficulties or in crisis. We have worked with and supported individuals through our accommodation and services to enable individuals to have a brighter future and more independence.

Your role as a trustee will ensure that the charity continues its work in changing peoples lives for the better.
