This is a wonderful opportunity to lend your experience to a pioneering organisation that supports young people up to the age of 25 who are at risk or involved in Serious Youth Violence. 

What will you be doing?

To strengthen our Board and governance, we are looking for additional Trustees.

We are looking for applicants with a background/experience in one of the following areas: Human Resources, Lived Experience or Social Media/Digital Marketing. They will be responsible for the following:

  • To help govern and advance the overall purpose of the charity in line with the Charity Commissions requirements. 
  • If overseeing a specific committee, ensuring it is carried out in legal, honest and accountable ways. 
  • Support staff team in operational implementation of each committee’s strategies and policies 
  • Strategically work with CEO and Senior Leadership Team. 
  • Attend regular board meetings. Have a willingness to speak their mind and, if considered in the best interests of the charity, make unpopular recommendations. 
  • Contribute to fundraising events and efforts and willing to act as the charity’s ambassador to external bodies etc.

What are we looking for?

For our Trustee roles, we would welcome applications from candidates with knowledge and background across the following areas to enhance our committees: 

Human Resources - A substantial background as a senior HR professional with a proven track record at both a strategic and operational level. This role will involve developing and reviewing existing policies and oversight of HR within the charity. 

Lived Experience - Lived experience of violent offending. Individuals who have emerged from that involvement with an understanding of their experience and have the communication skills to share their understanding of our clients' situation with others. 

Social Media/Digital Marketing - A background in Social Media and Digital Marketing with previous experience in a leadership or committee role. Substantial and proven experience of managing and overseeing a suite of social media channels. Experience of developing and implementing audience focused and data driven digital marketing strategies.
