About Art Voyage Biennial:

Art Voyage Biennial is a newly established platform that celebrates the intersection of contemporary art, creativity, and cultural diversity. Our mission is to bring innovative artistic experiences to a global audience and foster meaningful dialogue between artists and the public. We aim to promote cutting-edge art practices while making a lasting impact on the communities we serve.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A strong track record in fundraising, including securing major gifts, sponsorships, and writing or managing grant applications.
  • A passion for contemporary art and cultural engagement, with the desire to support the arts and community development.
  • Knowledge of the legal and regulatory responsibilities of trusteeship in the UK or globally.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.

Desired Qualities:

  • Previous experience in the arts, culture, or creative industries.
  • A wide network of contacts in the philanthropic, corporate, or cultural sectors.
  • Strong leadership skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

What difference will you make?

As a Trustee, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the biennial, ensuring strong governance, and leading initiatives to secure vital funding for the sustainability and growth of our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Governance:
    • Ensure that Art Voyage operates in accordance with its governing documents, legal, and regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee and guide the development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve our mission and vision.
  2. Fundraising and Development:
    • Develop and execute fundraising strategies, including individual giving, corporate partnerships, and grant opportunities.
    • Cultivate and manage relationships with donors and sponsors.
    • Research and apply for relevant grants and funding opportunities.
    • Plan and oversee fundraising events and campaigns.
    • Track donations and provide regular financial reports.
  3. Strategic Leadership:
    • Provide overall leadership and guidance in the development and implementation of long-term strategies for organizational growth.
    • Support the biennial in building and maintaining partnerships with cultural institutions, artists, sponsors, and the broader art community.
