Volunteer trustee required for Greenshoots pre-school particularly people with an interested in early years and with experience in business management.
Laira Green Trust manages Greenshoots which provides a high quality outstanding preschool. We are seeking to recruit committed and experienced Trustees to join a small team of Trustees who oversee the operation of Greenshoots. Candidates ideally need to have experience or knowledge of Early Years and Business Management. In particular, the Trust is looking for a Secretary who can organise and attend meetings to prepare agendas, take minutes etc. These are voluntary roles and attendance at meetings very 6 weeks will be necessary. Greenshoots is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and Trustees to share this commitment.
Ideally someone who has experience working in the early years sector or has an interest in helping within their local community. The right person will be passionate about early years, be committed to helping a small charity to continue to run at an outstanding level and providing experiences that these children would otherwise not have.
Laira is a deprived area and many of the children attending come from low income familes. Greenshoots provides educational experiences and activities that many children attending would not have access to. As a trustee you are part of the team with overall responsibility for the running of the pre-school.
