We are a recently formed charity for those with dementia and their carers. We have a strong team of volunteers who run our weekly socials. We continue to fight for better services and raise awareness.
The requirement for dementia support continues to grow. We run three social sessions each week, all of which are well attended by people in the Marlow and surrounding area. As a new charity we are still learning governance, and how to be more successful. We would like to integrate and raise awareness within the local business community who may be able help with funding and a home to call our own. Any experience of social media and technology would be welcome. Someone with some medical background could help guide us and our volunteers. We want to fight for better services so someone who has an understanding of the commissioning process, and how to influence would help those we support.
Ideally we are looking for individuals with a knowledge of dementia and experience of the support that could, or should, be provided.
Experience in the medical field.
Experience in Charity Governance.
Business background to help with networking and connecting with local business.
We are a proactive, innovative group with an ever increasing group of people we support. You will be helping a small charity who make a BIG difference to the lives of local people. Without us many of our friends would have NO support, and little social contact.
