We're looking for a Trustee with management experience who will be prepared to take over as Chair of our Community Support Group based in Merstham

What will you be doing?

MCFT is a thriving charity which helps the residents of Merstham fulfil their maximum potential. We have a large number of volunteer-led projects designed to help us achieve this goal and these are overseen by our staff of 5. The Chair of Trustees will be stepping down at the end of 2025, allowing an extended period of introduction to the new Chair. In common with most charities we face financial challenges, but we are currently in a strong financial position. On the positive side we have a large number of dedicated volunteers and a workforce committed to community development. The new Chair of Trustees will ensure that the charity continues it's successful contribution to the residents of Merstham.

What are we looking for?

The successful applicant will have experience of management in the charity sector, preferably as a trustee. They will need to be available to advise the manager regarding any issues by telephone or face to face on an ad hoc basis. They will also Chair the regular monthly meetings. As Chair of Trustees they have ultimate responsibility for ensuring the Trust complies with Charity Commission, Companies House and other statutory regulations.

What difference will you make?

The Chair of Trustees is a key role in our organisation. Your leadership and commitment will ensure we continue to provide and extend our range of much-needed support and services to our community.
