Reporting to the Chairman
Time required - to be discussed
The current Treasurer is in weekly contact with the Bookkeeper, that is either in the office or by phone/email. Committee meeting attendance is essential.
Payments, overseeing bookkeeping and handling ad-hoc questions typically takes around 1 hour per week. Preparation for committee meetings is around 3 hours every month plus time to attend the meetings.
Input to auditors centres around April and May and can take up to 35 hours in total. Annual budget preparation can take ca. 20 hours and usually happens in January / early February.
It is useful if the Treasurer lives near to the Society, which is based in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire.
Our Society needs an experienced Trustee Treasurer to continue and improve upon the high standard of financial reporting which is so necessary for a charity in the current climate.
The satisfaction of working for a society that fulfils such a necessary role for elderly people.
Working with a board of equally committed professionals who have taken the society forward every year to ensure a wonderful home for our residents.
Enjoying being part of a team who have fun doing a great job that benefits not only our residents and staff but themselves.
