Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

The Secretary will provide administrative support to the charity, ensuring efficient organisation, communication, and documentation to help deliver its mission.

What will you be doing?

Peak District Mosaic is a charity whose aim is to create and sustain engagement between the Peak District National Park, North York Moors National Park and Yorkshire Dales National Park and new audiences, including Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities living around the borders of the Peak District National Park.

We are recruiting Trustees to join our Board, with vacancies for Secretary; Vice Chairperson and Activities & Events Coordinator.

We welcome applications from people who have a lived experience – with an understanding of working with or have worked with Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities, and the importance this brings to building a sustainable organisation that is truly beneficial for the needs of the community.

The applicant must be legally eligible to stand as a registered Charity Trustee.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have had experience of work (voluntary or paid).

What are we looking for?

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Word, Google Workspace and Google Drive.
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role.
  • Volunteering within the charity sector is desirable however, not essential.
  • Has an interest in or enthusiasm for outdoor activities and community engagement.

What difference will you make?

The secretary trustee will help to steer our charity, working to ensure diverse communities can access and enjoy the great outdoors.
