Kairos Women Working Together (WWT) believes in the value and dignity of all women. After a fantastic 3 years, the Board Treasurer is moving on, creating an excellent opportunity for someone with relevant experience and time.

What will you be doing?

While financial matters are the responsibility of all trustees, it is often the treasurer that the other trustees look to for advice, guidance and reassurance on all aspects of the charity’s financial management and reporting, control systems, solvency, investments, etc.

In addition to the general duties of a trustee, the treasurer should maintain an overview of the charity's activities, ensuring the charity remains sustainable and that it uses its resources effectively to achieve the organisations aims. They also need to ensure the charity maintains the highest level of financial governance and reporting.

Key responsibilities:

  • presenting financial reports to the board in a format that helps the board understand the charity’s financial position
  • advising the board/finance manager on how to carry out its financial responsibilities
  • liaising with professional advisors
  • overseeing the preparation and scrutiny of annual accounts
  • drafting/ reviewing policies re. finance and investment
  • reviewing the charity's financial performance
  • ensuring that the charity has robust and effective financial controls in place
  • emergency/holiday cover for day-to-day financial duties, such as book-keeping, budgeting and preparation of reports.
  • support for finance/office manager with financial queries
  • escalation point for financial issues
  • signatory for banks, accounts, pension scheme etc.

If this is you, we would love you to get in touch.
