Ideal candidates will have experience of board membership either in the charity sector or similar roles. Candidates should have sector knowledge.
Community Assets Standing Tall is a regeneration charity dedicated to the well-being of communities and preservation of heritage in Rossendale, Lancashire.
The aims of CAST:
To strengthen communities by providing local social activities.
To bring into play fresh ideas and resources in the local area.
To promote and sustain interest in the heritage of the Rossendale Valley.
To act as a supportive resource for all parts of the community of Rossendale.
CAST operate across the Rossendale Valley in Lancashire, have a very broad remit and an extremely varied service user base.
CAST is seeking to appoint experienced people to join our Board of Trustees.
The ideal candidates would have experience in similar roles, have an understanding of charity boards and governance and be sympathetic to our ethos and values.
For these non-remunerated, voluntary roles we would ask that you dedicate time to attend 4-6 board meetings annually. Occasionally there are also events, celebrations etc.
The key officers’ roles within the board are currently filled but vacancies for these roles may arise in the future.

We are looking for an energetic individual to join our team of trustees, we would love someone with experience in fundraising, marketing, finance and event management although this list is not exhaustive.
CAST has a very broad remit and provides vital support to people living in the Rossendale Valley region.
It currently has offices in Bacup, approx. 4 trustees and dozens of volunteers.
As a trustee of CAST, you will be able to see rather clearly the impact CAST’s work makes in the lives of its beneficiaries. You will offer pragmatic and level-headed governance and overview to an established regional charity with a highly skilled and experienced board of trustees.
