Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

This well-established charity at the forefront of digital inclusion requires wise and enthusiastic heads to join the board as we design our strategy for the next phase.

What will you be doing?

Cambridge Online was set up in 2003 to help solve digital inequality in the Cambridge area. We've been providing devices, data and training to people who are unable to get online - because of poverty, deprivation, disability, education or circumstances. Our reach covers many areas and stretches from young to the eldest.

Digital Inclusion is now a separator between those that have it and those that don't and as more services go digital it becomes more important for everyone to have the ability and skills to navigate the online world.

Cambridge Online already helps, but needs to grow into the next phase. Our challenges are to provide smart help - identify clusters in the community where intervention can make a real difference. At the same time, we need to build relationships with companies and communities for recycling useful devices and for fund raising to continue and broaden our work.

We're particularly looking for new trustees with experience in: growing companies from micro to small to medium, fund raising, policy research and in strategy.

What are we looking for?

New trustees should have management experience - to be able to assess ideas, discuss and decide actions. We particularly welcome applications from people with non-mainstream backgrounds

What difference will you make?

Your role as trustee on the board will make a tangible difference to those left behind in this increasingly digital world. It will also help strengthen and redefine the charity itself.

Before you apply

Please apply with a CV and a note why you want to be a trustee.
