We are seeking passionate, committed people to become trustees. Involve supports voluntary and community action across Mid Devon communities through support for new and existing groups like advice on volunteering, funding, governance and much much more.Our trustees are vital to helping steer and influence our work. You will make sure it reflects the needs of our Mid Devon communities as, building on our successes, we expand to meet the increasing demand on our sector. Our Involve management committee is made up of a small group of Trustees and the Chief Officer that meets four times a year typically for two hours, face to face and online. One meeting is usually combined with our Annual General Meeting.
Typically, this volunteer role will entail a maximum of 15-25 hours per annum depending on how involved in projects you become.
The role will appeal to someone who wants to help govern a charity and give their time, skills, and expertise to help others within the community.
We are looking for new Trustees who have gained knowledge and skills through direct involvement in business, the public sector, or the voluntary sector, with:
We are particularly looking for someone who has Marketing and Public Relations with experience of using current technologies in the social media and website, in particular interested in promoting our community work which include Devon People First; a project supporting people in Devon with learning disabilities, our wellbeing projects, our Community Builder project and our Community Wellbeing Alliances. We are at a time of expansion and you will help steer our organisation in line with our three year development plan.

Our quarterly meetings are both in person but also online and the main part of this role would be working from home.
This is an important role helping us to raise our profile as an organisation and reach our wider community members. As a trustee, you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to help the strategic progression of the charity, but even more significantly, we are looking for someone to help us deliver our vision for the future and support new endeavours as we gain further funding for a variety of community projects.
Interviews will be an informal chat with the chief officer via Teams and then an introduction to the trustees
