We need trustees to help us steer this diverse and exciting charity through the next few years of giving support and advice to women from some of the most disadvantaged areas in Liverpool.

What will you be doing?

We want trustees to join our Management Board, to help make vital decisions for the future. Ideally volunteers should be experienced in a field such as finance, governance, mental health, women's issues - but we welcome any woman who wants to give their time and ensure that this charity continues to thrive. Trustees attend Board Meetings quarterly, and are regularly consulted by email. Meetings take place from 6 pm to 7.30 pm on Thursday evenings.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a woman who is committed to ensuring that all women have access to advice and support around their health choices. We concentrate on the epidemic of anxiety and depression that has developed over the last few years, so someone with an interest in mental health issues would be welcome.  It would be nice to have a trustee with expertise in finance, governance, or funding, but this is not essential. What is essential is that trustees are passionate about ensuring that women from the most deprived neighbourhoods have equal access to services that can ensure their well-being

What difference will you make?

We are fortunate in having an experienced Board, however we need a wider spread of experience in order to contribute to discussions and decisions from different perspectives.

What's in it for the volunteer?

We are a friendly, informal charity, based in the centre of Liverpool. We have many free activities (yoga, craft, singing, tai chi, ukelele) and trustees are welcome to come and try some - involvement can be as much or as little as trustees can commit to. We are particularly looking for trustees from diverse backgrounds.
