Performers Without Borders are looking for an energetic and passionate trustee to join our small and dedicated team. We work in India, Nicaragua and Kenya with vulnerable children, using performing and circus arts to develop and empower.

What will you be doing?

We would love an experienced outside eye and ear on what we do. We feel like we need some experience and direction to help us move forward in our work. Your specific role can be open to discussion, but our current objective is to maintain and improve our work and we are looking for someone who can be instrumental in this, contribute ideas and follow through with suggestions. We are a small team of passionate volunteers working together with the charities goals always in mind but we face constant challenges to keep the charity afloat, more so in the current financial climate in the UK. Your input and contribution in this area will be integral to the role.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has experience in the field of fundraising and specifically is passionate about the performing arts and the difference that these arts can make to children’s confidence and development.

If you have experience working in this area you will be ideal as you have seen firsthand what a difference charities like ours can make. Passion and energy are key to this role, as are dedication and commitment. We are a small team but committed to keeping our charity to its vision and mission, and finding ways to improve and develop our work.

What difference will you make?

Your help will be of huge benefit to us, and we hope you will see the effect you have. As a very small charity we pride ourselves in giving back as much as we can to those who help - you will really see the effect you have when you work with us. As a charity with incredibly limited finances we do all we can as volunteers and have survived for years with only volunteer staff. We now have 2 very part time paid admin staff but we need more help to keep our work going! Your contribution will be invaluable, we need new energy and ideas to keep our creative juices flowing and for our work to continue.

What's in it for the volunteer?

If you are looking for rewarding work, then this is for you! Unlike large NGO's you will really see the impact you have with Performers Without Borders. As a small team we support each other totally and you will be part of this. We are a unique charity working in a sector that is not so known currently. Social Circus is becoming a more internationally known beneficial art and skill, and now is your chance to be part of that.
