We would value the experience of a trustee with a fundraising background to join our passionate and growing team.

What will you be doing?

We have been highly successful in meeting the needs of people with cancer and have the full support of the Berkshire Cancer Centre. The demand for our services is substantial and the feedback from our service users is excellent, so we are growing our service. Our fundraising has been entirely due to a enthusiastic volunteer committee, individual donations, fundraising from people who use our service and their friends and family, and grants. We would value the experience of having fundraising strategic direction, planning and guidance on other avenues of revenue.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience of fundraising
  • Competence to lead and manage the development of fundraising for the charity.
  • Passion for the charities purpose
  • Strategic vision
  • Good independent judgement
  • Ability to think creatively
  • Can work effectively in a team
  • Understands the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship
  • Has a commitment to the Nolan’s seven principles of public life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership

What difference will you make?

Sustainability is the key to any charities success. By adding the value of fundraising expertise to our trustees board you will enable us to grow and deliver more therapies and reach more people with a cancer diagnosis.

Please apply through Reach in the first place. We would value a cover letter detailing why you are interested in this role and telling us about your relevant experience.
