What difference will you make?

Literacy Volunteers is a small independent registered Charity, founded 28 years ago based in Nottingham. The Charity has an established a network of over 110 volunteers who work in schools based in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. We help children overcome literacy challenges and develop a love of reading and develop their communication and social skills

We also develop and deploy early intervention projects aimed at pre-school children, mainly in disadvantaged areas of Nottingham City, under our Early Years program. The charity relies on grants, donations from the public and income from fund raising events to contribute towards the cost of its operations.

As Fundraising Trustee you can help make a real difference  that will help more children with their literacy and our mission for them to love reading for pleasure.  A main aspect of the role is to continue the recent work to increase the charity's corporate funding and relationships, and find other ways of fundraising as well as raise the charity's profile.
