Doulas Without Borders are looking for a Voluntary Trustee with solid fundraising experience to join our team.

What will you be doing?

With a strong commitment to bringing awareness to those experiencing hardship and disadvantage during the childbearing years the successful candidate will be:

  • Comfortable with making conversation and attending events
  • Able to communicate effectively and eloquently is very important, as is being up to date on social, political, and newsworthy topics in order to engage in meaningful conversations with potential donors
  • Ability to create new and innovative plans alongside the ability to adapt and change strategies to meet the needs of donor pools and to keep the donations coming
  • Highly sensitive to the power of language - you will be comfortable writing / speaking about topics including trauma, violence, abuse etc sensitively and compassionately
  • Motivated by working for an organization which has social values as its priority

What are we looking for?

Our Doula services are available to any woman/person who is experiencing financial hardship and is:

• At affect of domestic / intimate partner violence and / or sexual violence

• Experiencing homelessness

• A survivor / victim of human trafficking

• Under 20 years old and unsupported

• A survivor / victim of rape

• With refugee / recent asylum seeking status 

  • At least one of the above and experiencing or preparing for baby loss.


We especially welcome applications from those who have lived experience of one or more of the above.
