SUSO - Speaking Up Speaking out are looking for a resource to raise funds for this charity who deliver services to support Adults with Learning Disabilities. Our services are Training, Advocacy and Activities.
We are looking for a resource that is able to work with the Manager and team at SUSO, to look at raising funds to support our members to enrich their lives, allowing them to become more confident, self assured to allow them to achieve their goals. This can be anything from being confident enough to get their own accommodation or job in the community, to feeling confident to use public transport. Our charity also allows our members to just 'chill' and make friends in a safe environment.
Required Skills:
Extensive experience in fund raising/bid writing
Proven skills in raising funds
Excellent contacts with Trusts/Funders
Desirable Skills:
Live in the Cheshire East/West area, or able to deliver a service remotely
Able to travel to the charity (based in Macclesfield) as and when may be required
Experience / knowledge of Disability
Our charity has 9 staff, all in a part-time capacity, delivering training, Advocacy and activities that they have created, but these ideas have come direct from our members. Our charity is truly User Led.
In order to allow us to continue this valued service in the community, we require funding.
Funding needs covers Staff Salaries, Premises (rent and utilities) along with the funding requirements allowing us to deliver our services.
