What will you be doing?

Are you passionate about the rights and voices of people with learning disabilities?  Do you have experience in finance or HR and want to use your skills to make a real impact.  People First Forum, a Dorset-based charity led by and for people with learning diabilities, is looking for a committed indicidual to join our Board of Trustees. 

What are we looking for?

We're particularly keen to hear from people with professional experience or skills in 

  • Finance - helping us manage budgets, monitor financial health and plan for the future.
  • HR - advising on staff development, HR policies and best practice

Previous Trustee experience isn't required - just a commitment to our values, a collaborative mindset and a desire to help us make a difference.

As a Trustee you will:

  • Attend montly Board meetings (via video call and in person)
  • Support strategic decision-making and governance
  • Use your professional knowledge to advise on key areas of finance or HR
  • Champion our vision of inclusion, independence and equal rights
