Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

We are looking for an enthusiastic new trustee to support our work in North Leeds.  Help with book-keeping, budgetting, and costings for funding bids would be appreciated.  We provide a welcoming space and activities for local people.

What will you be doing?

Although our charity is very small, our current trustee board are struggling to keep up with the work involved because of caring and other responsibilities.  It is hard to recruit trustees locally as so many people are dealing with low income, the cost of living crisis, mental health issues and disabling conditions.  We need trustees who have an understanding of this environment, either through lived experience or previous roles, who can be supportive without being patronising.

What are we looking for?

Book-keeping and budgetting skills.  Ability to relate to a wide variety of people.

What difference will you make?

It would make a huge difference to us to have another trustee with time and energy to devote to keeping Living Local running.  Someone with book-keeping and budgeting skills would be ideal, and would take some of the workload off the current chair, but enthusiasm and a fresh perspective would give us all the impetus to keep going in our trustee roles.
