Develop partnerships and sponsorships in support of Action 21’s vision to reduce waste, promote reuse, increase knowledge and skills, and support its local communities in living more sustainably.
The challenge Action21 has, is to develop and grow its ability as the reuse & recycle champion in its community. Only by joining with partners and sponsors will it be able to achieve the capabilities and network it needs to do this. More items for recycling, reuse or repair; provide more items for resale at a low cost and avoid more items from going to landfill. A larger network will allow it to do more and increase its ability to educate the community in living more sustainably.
The Board of Trustees is the governing body of Action 21 responsible for ensuring that the organisation has a clear strategy, that it remains true to its original vision, and that it complies with all necessary rules and legal obligations.
We would particularly like to welcome applicants from prospective trustees with expertise in the following area:
Previous experience as a trustee is not necessary.
This trustee will set the partnering and sponsorship strategy for the charity and create awareness of Action21 activities across this network. By developing these partnerships and sponsorships Action21 can deliver an increasing positive impact on educating and promoting recycling and reuse as well as increasing its capabilities to avoid landfill for a greater breadth of items and at a higher volume.
