Citizens Advice Epsom & Ewell needs two new trustees. Our charity provides free, confidential and impartial advice to support people in their everyday lives. We operate locally to help those in need.

What will you be doing?

We’re looking for confident, friendly and well organised people to join our Trustee Board at a critical time of rising costs of living and demand plus increasing competition for sources of funding. We’d welcome trustees from a range of specialisms, eg EDI, housing, fundraising, health, safeguarding, technology and social media. But what really counts will be your strategic knowledge or lived experience and your passion to help local people who need advice, information and advocacy.

You'll join an inclusive team with the opportunity to lead on specific projects, develop partnerships and initiate fundraising leads to ensure a stable future for the charity.

What are we looking for?

No specific qualifications are required. We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and experience with fresh ideas and perspectives who want to help local people in need. Strong candidates will have knowledge and/or understanding of the charity, private or public sectors, coupled with general management skills such as strategic planning, business development, financial management, HR or communications and marketing.

We are looking for candidates an inclusive style who respect other people’s views and are comfortable with challenge and debate. You'll enjoy collaborative working and taking a leadership role in the Board in a range of areas.

What difference will you make?

You will make a positive impact for people in the Borough by ensuring that Citizens Advice Epsom and Ewell is financially sustainable and meeting local needs.
