We are a registered fostering charity based in Cardiff looking for a new trustee with relevant experience to assist with the development of the organisations expansion in particular our digital presence.
Demand for our services significantly outstrips the number of foster carers we have. We're keen to increase the number of new foster carers recruited and encourage existing foster carers who are not happy with their current organisation to apply to us. As a charity we can offer a wider range of services to children and carers than some profit making organisations and cash strapped local authorities.
We would like to recruit a trustee who has experience with webdesign, social media and marketing to assist with the development of a recruitment strategy for foster carers and promote the profile of the organisation.
The trustees formally meet around three times a year. Outside of this they liaise with our CEO and Service Manager regarding specific areas of the development of the organisation. Other than the formal meetings the work can be carried out on a flexible basis to suit individual availability.
Experience in marketing with an understanding of digital strategy to assist in the recruitment of foster carers.
We are a relatively small charity with a specialist social work team. What we can't justify are specialists for other areas which the business would benefit from. This role would make an enormous difference to the organisation to drive our recruitment of foster carers by developing a more coherent strategy and contributing to its implementation.

As a Welsh organisation operating in Wales we are particularly keen that the trustee group includes people who live and/or work and/or have connections to Wales.
