Croydon Commitment is in a good financial position with a strong board of business partners. We are considering what our priorities are going forward and how best to maximise our impact. We would like to expand and grow the charity and are looking for trustees who are particularly able to help in this respect and also help form our strategy for the next 5 years. We would particularly welcome those who have an interest or experience in reaching the most disadvantaged in the community. Because we are such a small charity with limited resources it is essential that our programmes are designed to be, in the main, delivered by our very many employee volunteers - we therefore have a strong leaning towards employability.
We are looking for trustees who have a genuine interest in helping those in the community who are more disadvantaged than others. We have a wide brief but try to find projects and causes that our business partner employees can help us deliver as part of their community investment. If you have experience of youth, education and employment then that is a bonus. We are also looking to expand our environmental and sustainability programme. Video production knowledge would fill a void, as would IT and digital. If your skills lie in strategic planning and organisational expansion we would welcome your application.
Over the last 20 years, Croydon Commitment has helped hundreds of voluntary groups across the borough and many thousands of Croydon residents.
As part of our board you will support and shape our work and strategic direction, as well as help us achieve our purpose to maximise business social investment in the borough, creating a better place to live and work.
Your energy, enthusiasm and ideas will give us a boost to extend our reach and impact, particularly amongst those who need more support. We know we can achieve more and are looking forward to discussing new projects and seeking further opportunities.
