ILP is looking for an enthusiastic communications professional to join our dedicated Board, and help us develop our communications strategy to better communicate the incredible work of our staff and volunteers.
ILP is seeking a new member for its Board of trustees to advise on the development of ILP’s communications strategy. In addition to usual governance responsibilities, the role will involve liaising with ILP’s Executive Director and other staff to provide guidance on the communications strategy, including social media marketing and public engagement opportunities generally. We welcome applications from people with experience in the private, public or charitable sector; although some experience with non-profit organisations would be ideal.
All Board members are also responsible for providing oversight to the operations of the charity in accordance with their obligations as trustees. They are required to review Board papers and play a key role in decision making in relation to ensuring the effective running of the charity, ensuring it fulfils its purpose; maintaining oversight and control over financial matters; monitoring the delivery of programme work; and engaging in strategic decision-making affecting the future development of the charity.
ILP is a growing and ambitious organisation, with its budget doubling in size over the course of the last two years. Currently with an annual budget of approx. £590K and additional £4M+ value in pro bono work, we are looking for an individual who is able to support the team as it continues to grow and move to the next level.
