Communications Trustee for Cardiff Sea Cadets

What will you be doing?

We have an exciting opportunity for a trustee to lead on all aspects of Cardiff Sea Cadet Unit communications and marketing. The charity is currently looking for Trustees (volunteers) that can support with the administration of the unit. There are free training courses available for you to develop new skills, boost your CV and support you in this role.

Cardiff Sea Cadets is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join its Unit Management Team (UMT).  We are a long-established Sea Cadet unit that has provided life-changing opportunities for many young people. We currently have 17 cadets who come from all over the area and we need to build on this number along with staff.

 

Working with the Unit Management Committee, you will build brand awareness, communicate impact, support all income generation, use social media to share activities and events across our catchment area. You will also monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of these activities. This is an exciting volunteering role for an established communications and marketing professional.

  • Develop a Communications and Marketing strategy for the charity
  • Develop expertise within the organisation
  • Enlist and work with Organisation support as required
  • Lead on all communications and marketing
  • Lead on Social Media use
  • Support Recruitment and Retention 

What are we looking for?

Experience:

  • Experience of  working in a Team Work setting
  • Proficient use of IT programmes including social media
  • Able to provide examples of work completed to date
  • Ability to adhere to compliance and governance 
  • Understanding of charitable organisations
