What will you be doing?

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Trustee Chairperson to join our team and contribute to our mission of helping animals in need. As the Trustee Chairperson, you will play a vital role in chairing meetings, ensuring the smooth operation of our charity, and promoting our cause to the community. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and leadership skills, be well-organized, and possess a genuine passion for animal welfare. If you are driven to make a positive impact on the lives of animals and are committed to furthering our charity's reach, we want to hear from you!

What are we looking for?

We are looking for applications from people from all social and cultural backgrounds, who are passionate about improving animal welfare. Experience in being a trustee or chairperson would be beneficial to the role.

You will have knowledge or experience in one or more of the following fields:

Accountancy

Financial planning and budgeting

Developing commercial/traded income streams/trading arms

Strategic planning

Charity retail

Chairing meetings

Business planning

To fill a gap we have identified in the skills shared by our current board of trustees and to help secure the future financial viability of our branch.

What difference will you make?

We cover a large area in the North East of England within the Sunderland, Hartlepool and South Tyneside district and fundraise within this area. The animal welfare services that we offer include:

  • Subsidised microchipping, neutering and emergency treatment for owned animals
  • Advice and education
  • Pet food bank
  • Vet clinic days
  • Seminars

As one of our trustees you will support and shape our charitable work and strategic direction to help us achieve our goals in increasing the quality of animal welfare within the Sunderland, Hartlepool and South Tyneside areas. 

This is a vital role, helping ensure we can continue our work in animal welfare. As one of our trustees you will have a real opportunity to use your skills to benefit the community and protect animals.
